During the pandemic, Héctor Maugeri decided to adopt a rescued dog, which led to a special bond with Amanda, a greyhound who showed a unique connection with him from the first moment. According to what was verified by the Argentine News Agency, Maugeri recounted the beginning of his special bond with his little dog on 'La Noche de Mirtha' and stated that the foundation he contacted described the dog as 'a diva who gets up before everyone, leaves the kennel and waits for the sunrise'. Upon meeting her, Héctor confirmed from the start that Amanda was destined for him. 'When all the greyhounds came, I already knew who Amanda was from the photos. She came to me and stopped, as if she knew I was her owner,' Héctor said. 'It's the denial of love, her gaze always watching over me, protecting me,' Héctor said, with his emotions on the surface. Although her name was not Amanda, Héctor chose that name because, as he himself recounts, 'one night I woke up and dreamed of her. I dreamed that name: Amanda,' he recalled. 'She gets up before everyone, leaves the kennel, waits for the sunrise and poses like a diva,' Héctor recalled with laughter. This is how he met Amanda, a greyhound who, from the first moment, connected with him in a very special way. Since then, they share a relationship that transformed Maugeri's life and gave the dog a new home.
